MORNINGS DURING THE 10:30AM SERVICE
At SouthPort we believe strongly in the purposes of Christ being developed in children at an early age. We see the potential in kids and want to equip their relationship with Jesus so they can be sent out with the power of the Gospel! It is our honour to partner with you, in building up the character and faith of your children.
Safety: Our highest priority is the safety and security of the children in our care. All of our volunteers are screened and trained through the Plan to Protect program ensuring we have the highest standards of safety possible. As part of the Plan to Protect program we require that you sign your child in and out of their class and get an ID number for your child. If you are needed at any time during the service, your child’s number will appear on the worship screens in the main auditorium. Families that regularly use our Kids Ministry programs will be required to fill out a yearly registration form for each child/youth.
Classrooms/Programs: All of our Sunday morning kids program run for the duration of the Sunday morning service. We encourage you to come a few minutes early to Church so you have time to sign your kids in at the appropriate classroom before our worship service begins. Both the Ark class and the Nineveh Class start together to do worship, memorize their memory verse, and learn this weeks lesson. After they have sat together for the main KidMo teaching we divide into their age appropriate classes. In class they go over the days lesson and verse, do a learning activity, have a snack, fill out prayer cards and receive this weeks homework. During class time your child will receive a prayer card to write any thoughts to pray about, the teacher will pray over these things in class but will also take these cards home and be in prayer for these kids all week. We have a sand dollar rewards system that is unique to Kids Cove. Your child will receive points for bringing back their homework, bringing their bible, memorizing their verse, bringing a friend and even for just being their each week. These Sand dollars are redeemable for prizes once a month. Our entire morning from games to music to object lessons and small groups is very purposeful and geared toward visual and kinestic learners while remaining a lot of fun!
The Reef Nursery (Birth – 3 years): Our Nursery is a loving and peaceful environment designed to care for and nurture children. Our workers will make sure your baby is receiving the personal care deserved in a facility created to be open and fun with lots of interactive toys for babies to enjoy. Each week has a designated Bible story for the older children in the Reef, where we colour pages pertaining to the story, sing theme songs and do activities based around that week’s Bible story. Here at SouthPort we believe that it is never too early to learn about the Bible and our program helps prepare your child for the older classes in Kids Cove.
The Ark Class (Jk- Grade 2): The Ark classroom is a fun and interactive learning environment for the younger kids in our program. During class time they will have the opportunity to ask questions about what they learned and to dig a bit deeper, with fun learning activities. We have snack time during class and also a bit of free time to play with the toys in their classroom.
Nineveh Class (Grades 3-6): Our Nineveh classroom is a high-energy environment that focuses on expanding on todays Biblical teaching so kids go home every Sunday understanding that the Bible has relevance to their daily lives and how to apply it. There is a designated snack time and activity time, where they learn in a fun and interactive way. Our Classroom settings gives the teachers an opportunity to really connect with each kid about their lives, and interests.

At SouthPort we value prayer and partnering together in prayer.
We begin our Sundays with pre-service prayer at 9:30 in the Youth Room and invite you to join us in preparation for our day of ministry at SouthPort.
Prayer is an integral part of both our Sunday morning and evening services. We take time to for people to be prayed with if they would like. Nothing is too big or small, God cares about all our concerns.
We also have a prayer request link on our website so that you can send in your requests and they will be prayed over as soon as they are received.
We also have a prayer mailing list for those who are able to stop and pray over requests during the week as they come in; in regards to any ministry needs in our church or for specific ministry leaders as we minister throughout the week. If you are interested in being added to this list please contact us through our contact page.
At SouthPort we truly value our students. We recognize the challenges they face through their teenage years, but we also see the incredible potential they have right now. We named our High School ministry Revolution Youth because we believe that God wants to revolutionize a generation that is lost. It is our great honor as leaders to be part of a teenager’s life, and we don’t take that honor lightly. We do everything we can to ensure that our Youth Ministries are safe, fun, positive environments where teenagers are able to grow closer to God and to other youth. Our motto is to “Change the world by loving like Jesus.”
Revolution Youth (Grades 6 – 12) is held on Friday evenings from 7-9;30. It is a great place to experience what it means to belong to a youth group family while growing in your relationship with God. During every Revolution service we take time to build relationships with each other through fun (and sometimes crazy) games and activities and hear Bible-based teaching to help students make life choices that line up with God’s Word. Our nights often include worship, and small groups to provide the opportunity to talk out your faith.
If you would like more information on what it going on each week please go to the “Revolution Youth SouthPort” Facebook page, where we post weekly updates on new and exciting things happening or email us at (email@example.com)
